My sister went to Dollar General today and found some tea on sale. She grabbed it and a few other items and proceeded to the cashier.

The cashier then started ringing her small items out, and the tea rang out for the original price, not the sale that was promised. My sister spoke up, saying that it was 1.25 and not 2 dollars because of the sale.

The cashier called the manager over, who checked the price, and then changed it to the correct amount of 1.25.

She stayed.

My sister then started her transaction and swiped her card. She was declined, but alas, she had change in her purse. She found a dollar and some odd change and handed it over. However, it wasn't enough for the whole purchase.

And this little gem took place...

My sister; "Oh, I don't have enough money.. I'll have to put something back. Can you void something?"
Manager; "We're not going to void it--you're going to have to come up with a way to pay for it."
Excuse me, what?
My sister; "I guess the only way to void it then, is to leave?"


They stared at her. She just turned heel and walked out of the store.

They didn't even bother to offer to return her money.




My mom e-mailed corporate.

Come to find out, my sister isn't the only one who had a problem at that Dollar General, according to the reviews on this location.

FFFF HELL YES.

Passed away this morning.



I dunno what else to say, other than this week really sucks.

I don't have a scanner which is why I've been artless



..Okay I have one, it's just not hooked up or installed.


You see, I got this killer cool printer/scanner/fax machine combo for Christmas that is supposed to print high quality prints and scans pretty awesomely.. Thing is.. we couldn't get the printer to actually.. put ink on paper. Anyway.. My old scanner is just sitting in the living room, but now I have nowhere to put it 8D

The waiting list will be in effect until the week before MTAC. If there is no word from us at that time, no slots have opened up, no one has backed out. There will be NO on-site waiting list, as the rules state if there are tables open at 12 Noon on Saturday, they will be sold first come first serve with a portfolio review on premisses. There is no need to reply to this email."


Like hell I'm going to print out my stuff, get it all together, waste money on printing, hoping someone didn't show up at the convention.. To get turned away. That's a lot of money wasted. >|

Should I allow for sketch commissions at MTAC?


It seems like the convention I brought up here before isn't going to happen, and I may have wasted a small chunk of pocket money on it.  


MTAC allows on the spot fan art commissions, so I'm pretty much up for anything (besides anthro, still can't do snouts/muzzles)... Good idea, guys?


Any input would be appreciated (Yes, I do have the check statements that I sent them.  My mom made sure that I payed by check so I'd have evidence, cause we were still unsure at the time (still are now))

Of course, I sent in a portfolio as soon as they opened up, and am anxiously awaiting and approval or disapproval.

I noticed a lot of the time in customers_suck (only because I read it when I'm bored as I don't like reading fanfiction.. I get sucked in too easily v.v) that people get a lot of flack for not being able to do simple math and they must be absolutely stupid for it.


I can't do simple math. I cannot add, subtract, multiply or divide without a calculator or a few minutes with a pencil and paper. I can't do that shit in my head.

Makes me feel incredibly dumb when I read stuff like that, because I can't do stuff like that.



Good thing I only needed on semester of math in college, yo.
